Art Course at the Nelson-Atkins is an artist-designed, mini golf experience located in the exquisite Donald J. Hall Sculpture Park. Each hole on this 9-hole course presents a creative interpretation of a work of art in the museum’s collection.

NEW to Art Course 2021—Come test your batting skills with the newest addition to Art Course, “Eyy Putter Putter Swing”, inspired by Radcliffe Bailey’s Mound Magician, designed by Sierra Swift and fabricated by Dimensional Innovations. The new hole is a gift from Bill and Christy Gautreaux in honor of 100th Anniversary of the Negro Leagues and the Kansas City Monarchs.

Dates & Hours
From March 19 to May 22, Art Course is open regular museum hours on weekends (Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays) only.
Key ticketing dates for the spring session are:
- Member pre-sale is March 2 – March 15
- Public on-sale begins March 16
From May 23 to September 6, Art Course is open regular museum hours every day we’re open (Thursday – Monday weekly).
Key ticketing dates for the summer session are:
- Member pre-sale is May 11- May 19
- Public on-sale begins May 20
From September 7 to October 24, Art Course resumes operation on weekends (Friday, Saturday and Sundays) only during regular museum hours.
Key ticketing dates for the fall session are:
- Member pre-sale is August 24- September 1
- Public on-sale begins September 2
Eat & Drink
The Country Club Bank Terraces Snack Bar is open during Art Course hours. Proudly serving local favorites like Foo’s Frozen Custard, Martin City Brewery Beer as well as a wide variety of non-alcoholic drinks and snacks. On Friday’s, Graze Boxes are available while supplies last. Picnic tables are available on a first come first serve basis, but may be reserved for private events.
