Community Impact Fund
The museum’s Community Impact Fund supports enriching programs that serve all ages, including tours for school groups, family art experiences, adult education, and more.
Planned gifts
We offer several ways to include the Nelson-Atkins in your estate planning.
Matching gifts
Many employers match employee donations, doubling or tripling gifts. Use our search tool to see if your company participates in a matching gift policy.
Tribute/Memorial gifts
Honor or remember a loved one, celebrate a special occasion, or express gratitude by giving a commemorative gift. A personal acknowledgement will be sent to the individual or family.

Friends of Art
Friends of Art (FOA) is our core membership group. At the FOA level, members enjoy a variety of benefits and events. Most importantly, their support helps keep the museum free for all.
Society of Fellows
Society of Fellows (SOF) is a highly engaged community of members whose generous support helps care for the collection and keep the museum free for all. In return, SOF members receive access to enriching programs and insider experiences.
Business Council
Business Council (BC) is Kansas City’s premier network of companies committed to expanding access to the arts and supporting free admission. Corporate members receive employee wellness benefits, discounted event rentals, and marketing opportunities with the museum.

- Endowed Gifts: Create a lasting impact for generations to come by giving to an established endowed fund or creating your own named fund to honor an individual, family, or organization.
- Corporate partnerships: In return for supporting museum programs and outreach, corporations reach new audiences, align their brand with our mission, and receive special access for employees or clients.
- Foundation and government support: Support from federal, state, and local governments as well as public and private foundations provides critical funding for museum operations.
Additional ways to give include by mail, stock or wire transfer, your IRA, in-kind gifts, a charitable trust, or a donor-advised fund.
