School Tours

Using state standards as a foundation, tours are designed to build critical thinking skills while exploring the museum collections.

School tours are free, one hour and 15 minutes in length and are available for grades 3-12. One adult chaperone must accompany every 15 students.

School Workshops

School Workshops provide an extension of classroom curriculum as students learn to observe, investigate and create art. Workshops integrate with core subjects and align with State and National Visual Art Standards.

New Dimensions

The New Dimensions program is a FREE all-day field trip experience for 6th – 12th grade student groups of 10 or more. The program focuses on imparting real-world skills and introducing students to potential career paths.

Pre K-12th Grade
The Incentive Grant Program provides assistance to school-wide, Title I schools for pre-K through 12th grade visits to the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art.
