Stories, like ceramics, come in all shapes and sizes. This exhibition explores a variety of ways ceramic objects can tell stories—from friendship to memory to legend.
Don Reitz looked to the drawings of his young niece and his own childhood memories as inspiration for a series of very personal ceramics. A monumental charger immortalizes the friendship and collaboration of contemporary ceramic artists Jim Leedy, Peter Voulkos and Rudy Autio. Kansas City artist Rain Harris asks visitors to consider what stories objects hold as they are passed down through generations.
