The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art joins Kansas City and the arts community in mourning the death of Robert Morris. The 87-year-old native of Kansas City died Wednesday, Nov. 28.
Morris was a founder of Minimalism in the 1960s, a radical simplification that influences artists to this day.
Morris created Glass Labyrinth in 2014 for The Donald J. Hall Sculpture Park. He credited childhood visits to the Nelson-Atkins as formative experience for his art.
