CHAPERONES

1 chaperone per 10 students is required. Chaperones assist with group behavior management and gallery transitions. No more than 2 chaperones per 10 students; paraeducators and instructional assistants cannot be a chaperone. Children and siblings under 18 years of age are not eligible to be chaperones.

The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art

The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art is one of the nation’s premier cultural institutions. Through free general admission, world-class exhibitions, and dynamic programming, the Nelson-Atkins invites people of all ages and backgrounds to explore curiosity and engage in creativity. Our collection includes over 45,000 works of art spanning 5,000 years of human ingenuity. We offer partner-driven community and family programs, citywide cultural festivals, signature events, and learning opportunities that encourage discovery and connection through art.  

The Nelson-Atkins is located at 4525 Oak St., Kansas City, MO  64111. Hours are 10 am–5 pm Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, 10 am–9 pm Thursday and Friday, and closed Tuesday and Wednesday. Visit nelson-atkins.org to plan your experience.
