ShuttleCork 2025

Evening two marks the main events. At the Grand Tasting, enjoy delectable selections from leading winemakers and local restaurants. Under the big-top tent, raise your paddle high at the Live Auction. Finally, hit the after-party next door at After Dark.

Grand Tasting in Rozzelle Court

Savor what the best chefs and vintners have to offer, as 25 top wineries and 30 of Kansas City’s favorite restaurants provide the perfect mix of food, wine, and mingling amongst friends — all in the elegant setting of the Nelson-Atkins.

The exciting Live Auction offers valuable wine-themed items, unique gifts, and one-of-a-kind travel packages. Join other art lovers and wine enthusiasts in supporting the museum as a vital partner in the educational, social, and cultural life of Kansas City.

After the auction, the action begins. We head to Bloch Lobby to wine down the evening with snacks and treats from local vendors, a DJ, a dance floor, and (importantly!) an open bar. After Dark is the perfect nightcap to ShuttleCork 2025.

The online auction catalog will be available to view in the week leading up to ShuttleCork. Inside, preview the rare wines, luxury travel, and one-of-a-kind experiences available to the highest bidder.

A physical catalog will be printed and mailed to ticketed guests approximately one week before ShuttleCork.

In one of the auction’s most exquisite lots, four guests will join globally renowned winemakers Shari and Garen Staglin for a priceless six-day experience in Italy. Guests will explore all the best that Italy has to offer, including private access to da Vinci’s The Last Supper and the Maserati factory and several days immersed among Barolo and Barbaresco’s greatest wine producers.

Guests gather in the Chinese Temple Gallery at the Nelson-Atkins.

Donated by past and present ShuttleCork chairs, this new lot promises behind-the-scenes access to the museum few will ever experience. 10 couples will attend a private presentation by curators featuring works of art yet to be acquired. Guests will have the opportunity to share their insights on each work, potentially influencing its future acquisition.

Within the quietude of the museum’s 14th-century French Cloister gallery, 14 couples will enjoy an exceptional dinner prepared by award-winning chef Philip Tessier and paired with wines from the acclaimed Rudd Estate.

Support the Nelson-Atkins in style! Enter to win a certified Hermès Birkin 30 Handbag, complete with orange Togo to match the museum’s signature color. This gently used bag has been authenticity certified by Rebag.

Don’t hesitate — this raffle is limited to just 100 entries and sure to sell out fast.

The winner will be drawn at the Live Auction on May 2, so be sure to get your ticket so you don’t miss the fanfare! The winner does not need to be present to win.

The Nelson-Atkins will submit all federal withholding tax on the prize. The Internal Revenue Service takes the position that no portion of the Raffle ticket price will qualify as a charitable contribution for federal income tax purposes. Read the full rules of the raffle.
