Partnering with Trauma Smart, a division of Crittenton Children’s Center (St. Luke’s Hospital of Kansas City), a suite of resources was developed to support the social and emotional needs of students and their adult care partners.

Art and Emotions 

Use this poster to help identify the moods you are feeling at any given moment or to examine the feelings of others.  

How Big is Your Emotion? 

The emotions that we experience can feel big, small, or anywhere in between. Use the works of art shown in this poster to help rate the “size” of the emotion you are feeling. 

Grounding Activities – Instructions

A set of grounding activity cards suggests exercises such as deep breathing, meditation, muscle relaxation, and crossing the midline that are inspired by works of art from the museum’s collection.
