School tours and workshops
Museum visits offer interactive gallery experiences, discussion, and art activities for students from pre-K to high school.
Free educator resources
The Nelson-Atkins’ Educator Resource Center provides hands-on activities, tools, and materials that educators can check out or download for their classrooms.
Youth and adult classes
Taught by premier art instructors, studio classes allow people of all ages and skill levels to nurture their creativity and develop their artmaking abilities.
Customized community programs
Some Nelson-Atkins programs are offered by request and on an individualized basis, including citizenship preparation classes and programs for people with disabilities and older adults.

The Spencer Art Reference Library and Archives offer free resources for anyone to explore the visual arts and their histories.
