Inside the Cinema

  • While pod space is provided with purchase, seating must be carried in by guests. 
  • Blankets, pillows and chairs are all encouraged. 
  • A small tarp underneath your blanket is recommended. 
  • Dress for all potential weather changes. Umbrellas are not permitted while the movie is playing. 
  • Pods can accommodate a maximum of four people. If a group has a child under three, it is allowable in this instance only to have five people in a pod. Under no circumstances may six people or more be in a single pod. 
  • Accessible restrooms are available on-site in the Bloch Building. 
  • Food and drink are available for purchase at the Walking Snack Bar. Outside food and drinks are not permitted. 
  • Smoking or vaping inside the cinema is not permitted. 
  • Animals (other than service animals) are not permitted.

The Nelson-Atkins is located at 4525 Oak St., Kansas City, MO  64111. Hours are 10 am–5 pm Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, 10 am–9 pm Thursday and Friday, and closed Tuesday and Wednesday. Visit nelson-atkins.org to plan your experience.
