Appraisal Referrals

While this list includes a variety of established auctioneers and galleries specializing in fine art, The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art cannot guarantee that appraisals obtained from these sources are always accurate or reflect the continuously changing market for individual works of art. In general, valuations for insurance purposes can also vary widely from appraiser to appraiser and may also change substantially over relatively short periods of time. You are strongly advised to seek legal and/or professional financial counsel for appraisals obtained for tax purposes (i.e. tax-deductible gifts to non-profit organizations).
