Kansas City’s Big Picnic

Kansas City comes together at the region’s biggest picnic with partner KC Parks & Rec! Enjoy live music, food trucks, art activities, and lawn games from the museum to Brush Creek. Explore Walking Wall by Andy Goldsworthy and celebrate #WhereKCPlays during National Parks and Recreation month.

Parking & Information

Parking in the museum garage is $10. Museum members park FREE.
Emanuel Cleaver II Boulevard will be closed from Oak Street to Rockhill Road from 2 to 9 pm for this event.
Restrooms & accessible indoor route in the Bloch Building until 8 p.m.
Portable restrooms, including an accessible restroom, in Theis Park.
Please note: no grills, stakes, or tenting at this event. Pets must be on leashes.
