[1] “Five unusual eye miniatures, 19th century, the first a blue eye, set into a chamfered rectangular gold ring, the second a brown eye with brown locks, set into an oval snake gold ring, the third also a brown eye with brown locks, set into a circular gold stick pin, the forth a partial face, set into a metal rounded rectangular pin, the last an oval blue eye surrounded by clouds, in a metal frame. Heights 1 3/8 in. (3.5 cm.) to 1/2 in. (1.3 cm.) (5) $800–1,000.” Lots 201–11 were sold by the “Property of an East Coast Institution.”
