[1] “Three eye miniatures, English School, first half of the 19th century, the one, showing a brown iris and brow beneath a lock of hair, mounted as a ring within a bright-cut gold , another showing a blue iris and auburn locks of hair within a dodecagonal silver-gilt pendant frame, the third with a brown iris shown amidst clouds, mounted as a brooch within a twisted silver-gilt frame, the former oval 1.7 cm. (11/16 in.).”
