[1] “A pair of miniatures of a middle-aged lady and gentleman, each shown head and shoulder almost full face, she wearing a large white cap over her tightly-curled hair and a dark blue dress trimmed with white lace, he with receding white hair and wearing a black jacket over a white cravat, gilt-metal mounts, framed together in a fitted hinged leather case, each oval 1 7/8in. 4.7cm.” The annotated catalogue lists “150” below the lot description.
