[1] “A young man, head and shoulders three-quarters sinister, gaze directed at spectator, with powdered hair and wearing a blue jacket over a white waistcoat and cravat, cloud and sky background, gold frame, the reverse with monogram within a plaited hair and verre églomisé surround, oval 2 5/8 in.; 6.6 cm.” The annotated catalogue has a circled lot number and lists “140” below the lot description.
