FUTO: Since 2002, Tom Futo has produced complex wines, with Cabernet Sauvignon being the predominant varietal. Typically available only to those on the mailing list, access to Futo wine is a rare treat.
DAKOTA SHY: Started in 2003 by Todd Newman, Dakota Shy found its way onto Wine Spectator’s Top 100 in only its second vintage!
THEOREM: Once an overgrown, forgotten property on Diamond Mountain, Theorem Estate Vineyard has quickly become one of the top wines of the AVA, produced under the direction of superstar consultant Thomas Rivers Brown.
BOOKER: Eric Jensen and team believe in minimalism at Booker Wines and a holistic approach to farming, which in turn allows the vines to give beautiful, concentrated, and highly textured wines.
BIEN NACIDO: Often considered the grand cru Pinot Noir vineyard of California, Bien Nacido is producing arguably the most compelling Pinot, as well as Chardonnay and Syrah, anywhere in the United States.
HANDWRITTEN: Celebrated for creating Old World varieties in a New World setting, winemaker Rob Lloyd focuses on small production wines sourced from quality vineyards around the valley.
CONTINUUM: Tim Mondavi, formerly of Mondavi Winery and Opus One, has begun his next chapter, creating some of the most stunning wines found on Napa Valley’s Pritchard Hill.
DOMAINE CLOS DE LA CHAPPELLE: One of only four American landowners in Burgundy, Kansas City’s own Mark O’Connell has transformed this Monopole property into one of Volnay’s top estates.
STAGLIN: Founded in 1985, the Staglin family organically produces world-class varietals, including Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay and Sangiovese.
