A panel of designers each present a short story highlighting the power of design WITH disability—rather than for disability—and with the mantra “nothing about us without us” evidenced in their process. Panelists include:
- Anaiss A., teen design consultant for Make Just Right youth design consultancy
- Ashley Shew, assistant professor, science, technology and society, Virginia Tech University
- Peter Sloan, director of interior design, HOK global design, architecture and engineering
After individual stories, the panelists engage in a conversation moderated by disability activist Madison Zalopany, the museum’s manager, community and access programs.
