Sundays, April 26–May 17
Instructor: Amy Zoe Schonhoff
This class explores the practice of mindfulness as a means for being “in the wake” of one’s engagement with visual art. Over the course of four weeks, participants will learn and explore foundational practices and principles of mindfulness: the cultivation of attention, mindfulness of body, of thought, and of feeling, in relationship to works of art from the museum’s collection. Class time will include didactic presentation, experiential exploration of mindfulness practices and group discussion.
Amy Zoe Schonhoff is the founder of Mindfulness in the Heartland. She has been a mindfulness practitioner for over 25 years, is a qualified teacher of Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and trained Mindful Schools Educator for grades K-12.
