Seeking Class Proposals – for Spring & Summer 2013 Classes

The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art is seeking proposals from artists and educators for the Spring & Summer 2013 session of studio classes in the Ford Learning Center. Classes will be held between March and August and offered for adults. Available time frames are Thursday evenings, Friday evenings and/or Saturdays. Classes can range from a one-time workshop to a 4-week session. Only water-based media and non-toxic materials may be used in the Ford Learning Center.

Deadline for proposals: Saturday, October 13, 2012

Please include a:

• Class title
• 200 word description outlining the content for the class and what students will learn from the class
• How this class relates to the Nelson-Atkins’ art collection
• resume outlining education and previous teaching experience

Proposals will undergo a review process and potential applicants will be contacted for a meeting to discuss the class proposal in more detail as well as compensation.  Creative proposals not chosen for this term may be kept on file and applicants may be contacted for future opportunities.
