The Chinese Collection: Shang – Song Dynasties

This tour of Chinese art and material culture will provide students an opportunity to study China’s unique and enduring civilization. By visually examining authentic sources and highlighting philosophical, artistic, and technological accomplishments, students will gain familiarity with a culture that represents the language and population of billions of people living around the world today.


Appropriate for grades: 5th-12th

Maximum Size: 75 students

School tours are FREE, one hour and 15 minutes in length and are available for grades 2-12.

Lunch

School groups may bring sack lunches and picnic on the grounds of the Kansas City Sculpture Park. Teachers are responsible for making alternate arrangements in inclement weather. There are limited facilities for students who are scheduled for an All-Day Visit to eat sack lunches inside the Museum. Request to eat indoors must be made at the time of registration and are on a first-come, first-served basis.
